Nuclear deal helpful in Iran-Turkey relations

TEHRAN, Jul. 17 (MNA) – On a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, President Rouhani stressed the importance of Iran’s nuclear deal on Tehran-Ankara relations.

Congratulating Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Eid al-Fitr, Iran’s President said the agreement reached between Iran and the 5+1 will influence Iran’s relations with neighbor countries especially Turkey.

President Rouhani, while extending his gratitude to Ankara for participating on Iran’s nuclear issue, asserted that Iran has left behind oppressive sanctions and has achieved acceptable solutions.

Noting the mutual cooperation of Iran and Turkey n restoring stability and security in region, Rouhani underlined “The regional nations are eyeing our cooperation and we can achieve a win-win solution in the region.”

“It is necessary to reinforce relations for uprooting terrorism and fight the issue, which is threatening the regional stability,” added he.

The Turkish president, felicitating President Rouhani for the nuclear achievements and on Eid al-Fitr, said “We are ready to cooperate with Iran on regional issues; we could help achieve this through close interactions among different bodies of the two countries.”
